WIN AWARD TO COVER DARWIN CONFERENCE IN ALEXANDRIA

Application deadline: 18th September 2009

 

The British Council, in collaboration with the World Federation of Science
Journalists, is offering travel awards to journalists who would like to
attend a 3-day conference on Darwinism at the famous Bibliotheca Alexandrina
(Egypt), 14-16 November 2009.

 

If you are a science journalist interested in evolution, the awards offer
the opportunity to meet with some 140 scientists, colleagues, and up to 800
delegates, to discuss cutting edge evolutionary research, applications in
agriculture, plant science and biomedicine, and the impact and controversy
of Darwinism in society and culture. 

 

The awards are offered by the British Council's Darwin Now project, in
association with the World Federation of Science Journalists. Each
Journalist Travel Award covers travel, accommodation and other expenses to
attend the Darwin's Living Legacy: International Conference on Evolution and
Society. 14-16 November 2009.

The competition is open to journalists from all world regions working in
print, TV, radio or online. Winners will be notified by the by 29th
September 2009, and must have a valid passport.
