UWA SCIENCE COMMUNICATION SEMINAR SERIES- 2nd October 2009

This week we have two students, Sonam Choden and Sunita Pradhan, who will be
giving talks based on their experiences  while doing their practicum
placements for COMM3318 Science Communication Practicum.

Sonam Choden- Perth Zoo

Sonam Choden is a Science teacher from Bhutan who is studying a Master of
Science Communication and Education.  Sonam did her practicum at Perth Zoo
under the mentorship of Julie-Anne Smith. Throughout the practicum she
observed lessons and at the end submitted a report on the lessons she
observed to Perth Zoo Education.  During the presentation, Sonam will be
talking about what she did on her practicum and what she has learnt from the
experience.

Sunita Pradhan- SciTech

Sunita Pradhan has been working as a math's and science teacher in her home
country of Bhutan for the past 5 years.  Sunita completed her practicum at
SciTech Math's Factory under the direction of Kate Moore.  Sunita will
outline in her talk how her experience at Math's Factory has been useful to
her as a math's teacher.

Enter via ramp between Physics and Geology, go down stairs to basement.
