You are invited to the launch of the Canberra node of the
AUSTRALIAN MATERIALS TECHNOLOGY NETWORK (AMTN)

This will happen at the next ANU Engineering Alliance Forum being run at
the National Convention Centre on Thursday, 27 November from 2.30pm till
4.30pm. The AMTN aims to bring research and industry closer together.

There will be champagne and nibblies to celebrate the launch, and several
fascinating presentations on materials science and technology:
-Scissors - find out about some of the hardest industrial cutting materials
on the planet
-Rock - see inside rock (and learn how to squeeze out more oil)
&
-Paper - learn why building better paper is all about understanding how
liquid penetrates paper
