Get Together on The Environment

A unique international event will bring together over 650 students, teachers
and a range of celebrities and politicians to look to the future of
Australian education and environment.

WHAT: 	The 2003 International River Health Conference

WHERE: 	Mildura, Victoria

WHEN: 	19 – 21 October.

§          Over 650 children and their teachers from every State and
§	Students representing ten overseas countries
§	The Hon John Anderson, Deputy Prime Minister, who will have a “Talkback
Classroom” with the students
§	The Hon Warren Truss, Federal Minister for Agriculture, Forestry and
Fisheries, who will address the students
§	Peter Garrett, ACF President, who will launch the event with the release
of 1000 yabbies in a symbolic gesture towards river health
§	Arron Wood, conference organiser and youngest finalist for the 2003 Prime
Minister’s Environmentalist of the Year Award
§	The huge Aussie band, The John Butler Trio, who will perform for the kids
§	Members of the popular kids’ TV Program “Big Arvo” who are MC’ing the
§	John Walker, Landcare member and ex-Full Frontal comedian
