*        A problem costing Australia more than $4 billion a year will be
the focus of a national conference at Charles Sturt University (CSU) in
Wagga Wagga next month. The 14th Australian Weeds Conference is expected
to attract 300 delegates from around the country from Monday 6 September
to Thursday 9 September. Hosted by the Weed Society of NSW, the
conference will emphasise the array of problems associated with weed
management from the production, environment, social and economic
perspectives. The theme will be Weed Management - people, planet,
profit. Heading international and local speakers, the keynote address
entitled The Age of Weeds will be delivered by leading science
communicator Julian Cribb from 9am Monday 6 September. Further
