YOUNG REPLACEMENT FOR RETIRED PANEL CHAIR - Commencing January 1, Neil Young
of Kojonup will chair the GRDC's Western Region Panel, replacing Hyden's
Dale Baker who has retired from the Panel after 11 years.
A graingrower for 30 years and a former President of the WA No-Till Farmers'
Association, Mr Young was a new appointee to the Panel in July 2005, along
with Ralph Burnett, David Capper, Merrie Carlshausen, Richard Oliver and
Panel Deputy Chairman and crop physiologist and agronomist, Dr Bob Belford
and Department of Agriculture and Food Wheat Development Officer, Ben Curtis
were both re-appointed for second terms last year.
Beyond his local role overseeing GRDC's approximate $20 million annual
investment in the Western Region, Mr Young will also join the GRDC's
