Dive into Australia's estuaries online

 

For immediate release Friday 17 February 2006

 

An interactive online resource containing information on nearly 1000 of
Australia's estuaries is to be launched in Hobart on Monday.

 

Developed by Geoscience Australia and the Coastal CRC, the
website-OzEstuaries-is designed for a wide audience base including coastal
managers, researchers, educators, students and the public. It is the greatest
central resource of downloadable maps, images, reports, data and basic
information on estuaries in Australia.

* See demonstrations of the website including 3D flythrough animations of
Australian estuaries
