Zamia Gold IPO opens and closes oversubscribed
Media Release 22 November 2006
Junior Explorer closes its IPO early after it is oversubscribed.
Zamia Gold Mines Limited is pleased to announce that its Initial Public
Offer (IPO) closed oversubscribed after just 2 days. Opening on Wednesday 14
November, the IPO raised $4 million for an advanced exploration and
development programme in the Clermont region of central Queensland.
Executive Director Commercial, John Newton, said that "the Clermont region
has a famous history of gold mining dating back to 1862. The area has been
singled out by the Queensland State Government for additional work because
of its mineral endowment."
Zamia Gold holds exploration and mining permits over approximately 2750
square kilometers, located north of Clermont. These tenements were selected
following four years of intensive evaluation by an expert geological team.
The Company hopes to commence gold production from one or more of its
holdings within two years.
Zamia will list on the ASX (ZGM) in early December.
