*2007 DaimlerChrysler Australian Environmental Research Award* - $30,000 (Banksia Environmental Awards)
Having generated a wave of interest in its first year, the $30,000 2007 DaimlerChrysler Australian Environmental Research Award is open for entry until the 8th May 2007. This significant award is open to any research with the potential to make a significant difference to future environmental sustainability. We encourage anyone to nominate
"As the inaugural winner of the DaimlerChrysler Australian Environmental Research Award, I would like to encourage all organisations involved in environmental research to enter this award. It is important on a number of different levels, firstly for the opportunities it affords the winner - not just the financial opportunity to continue valuable environmental research, but also for the valuable opportunities it provides through the relationships that develop as a result. In addition, it is important to support this award because it signals to corporate Australia that their efforts and backing are important to the future of environmental research in this country. Their support of the environmental research community can make a real difference." Professor David Lindenmayer, 2006 Winner.
