Australia's only carbon neutral media company, Luna Media - publishers
of G Magazine and COSMOS - will strengthen its lead of the consumer
green landscape with the launch next month of G-Online, expected to
become Australia's #1 consumer sustainability hub.

"We already produce Australia's leading science portal with Cosmos
Online, generating 1 million page views a month and attracting an
engaged readership of 375,000 unique visitors," said Luna Media's
Editor-in-Chief, Wilson da Silva. "G-Online will do even better. We
have put a lot of work into translating our success in providing
positive and practical approaches to green living for a general
audience into the online environment.

"With a wealth of content to draw on, and a coterie of writers here
and around the world who know their topics, G-Online will quickly
dominate the green media space in Australia," he said. Known as
G-Online, it will supplant the company's existing site,
Gmagazine.com.au.

Luna Media last week scooped the City of Sydney Business Awards,
taking out the inaugural Lord Mayor's Sustainability Award as well as
the coveted Environmental Business Award.

In accepting the trophies from Lord Mayor Clover Moore, Luna Media's
CEO Kylie Ahern encouraged all businesses to embrace the journey to
sustainability. "While being green is not an easy journey, the rewards
are incredible in terms of customer support, staff loyalty and
retention, plus the sheer exhilaration of just knowing it makes
sense," she said.

The two trophies cap a remarkable four years in which the Sydney-based
company has snatched 28 awards, with nine of them being for its newest
publication, G Magazine. It is Australia's leading green media brand,
providing practical and positive advice on sustainability, from food
and finance to fashion and travel. It has the largest circulation of
any sustainability publication in Australia, the widest distribution
network and the capacity to reach more than 1 million consumers.

Luna Media pioneered G as the world's first green consumer monthly
magazine and has been successful by delivering what readers want:
smart, pragmatic and unbiased information on how to live more
sustainably without abandoning quality of life. G was named Consumer
Magazine of the Year at the 2007 Bell Awards for Publishing
Excellence, and also took out the award for Best Consumer Magazine
Launch.

Its owners and staff are passionate about being green. They have
audited their emissions, targeted reductions and offset what could not
be reduced - becoming the first carbon neutral media company in
Australia. Their office uses 100% GreenPower, has two worm farms and G
Magazine is produced on post-consumer recycled paper. Most of the
staff cycle to work or use public transport, the directors drive
hybrids, and all products reviewed by the magazine are raffled off,
with the proceeds used to buy rainforest land and protect it from
development.

Luna Media also produces Australia's #1 science magazine, COSMOS, a
print magazine and daily online news service that treats science as
natural part of culture. It is endorsed by leading thinkers, from Tim
Flannery and Nobel laureate Peter Doherty to science commentator Karl
Kruszelnicki. Its advisory board includes Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz
Aldrin, and it was founded by the successful Melbourne neuroscientist
and entrepreneur, and now Chancellor of Monash University, Dr Alan
Finkel.

"A very real hunger exists in Australia for valid and appropriately
researched analysis of the issues facing our community, and that's why
we launched COSMOS in 2005, and subsequently G Magazine," added Ahern.
"We successfully reach educated, savvy consumers with high disposable
incomes and discerning tastes. You can only appeal to this valuable
demographic by producing excellence and believing not just in the
publications, but in the principles behind them."
